I was dying to find out how on earth (or on Earth as the case may be) could the author make this character fall for a human! I really wasn't sure she could pull it off, nor did I think she would be able to top her other Cyborg stories. But she did!

My only complaint would be that I'd want a longer story. This is actually a two part complaint. The first is that I enjoyed it and hated for it to end--not really a bad complaint of course. There is also the slight little bit of me that feels like aspects of the story are a LITTLE rushed...but in the context of the genre (one I have named Sci Fi Smut) that is a little more acceptable. I have read a lot of books both straight and gay and this has got to be the best romance novel I have read. Her characters, Pat and Carly make you want to drive down to Texas to meet them. Like other readers, once I started I didn't want to put it down. I was entranced by their surroundings and the story line as well as the sexual tension that kept building throughout the book. As soon as I finished, I immediately started rereading it again and then gave it to my partner who has also read it back to back times. This looks to be a very interesting read. The narrator's voice is intimate and real - nothing shy or coy or fake about it. The story line seems believable. The subject matter is hot. The characters develop in unexpected yet internally consistent ways...

This book is extraordinary. It provides first-person narratives on a wide variety of sex-positive practices/experiences, and also argues that such practices/experiences are normal. Reading this book should make any woman feel more comfortable with the thoughts/wants/needs she has that may seem to be anti-feminist in nature.

Personally, as a feminist-identified stripper, I was thrilled to see that such a book had been compiled. Each narrative is intelligent and edited perfectly. I've read a number of Lauren Dane's novels and have always liked her voice, both in her paranormal, and contemporary work. Megan Hart is new to me, although I do have "Stranger", in my TBR. If you are already a fan of Ms. Hayse, you will not be disappointed with her latest creation. The book is a full length novel (I really hate the trend in this genre to put out little novellas) that you can really sink your teeth into. This is by far my favorite of the Letters to Penthouse series so far, and I've read them all! This book has stories for everyone...gay, lesbian, bi, serendipity, alternative, romance, straight. My personal favorite story was "Filmfest Turns to Suckfest When Neighbor Holds Private Screening." As I always say in reviews of erotica, who cares if it really happened or not...if it didn't, you can pretend it did while you're reading, let yourself get aroused, and...whatever you like! I will admit, however, that a plus about the stories in this book is that there are some ideas you could use in real life to spice up your personal sex life...even if you couldn't play out the story exactly as written. Few of the stories, if any, depict safe sex. But again, this is not necessarily reality...its fantasy, and highly arousing fantasy at that. The stories are generally short so you can read one for a quickie arousal, or several for a longer fantasy session. A very recommended...

Taunting Krell is another great installment in the Cyborg Seduction series. I personally love how Laurann Dohner keeps making the story fresh without being repetitive. Too many of my favorite serial stories have jumped the shark by just basically recycling the same story over and over again. Besides having a very interesting romance story between Krell and Cyan, the author includes a lot more detail of the Cyborg history, which I personally love. The prologue alone on this book is fascinating. If you like your romantic fiction with an interesting plot besides hot sex scenes, this series is for you. Taunting Krell has quickly moved to the number one spot on my list of books to re-read.

I like Vincent Stephens' work. His sense of what's attractive is varied and interesting. There are plenty of nice, round butts with several body styles. Some thicker, some thinner, most with large chests to go with their butts. The detail varies as well, with some being obvious figure studies from a model's body while others are cartoony. The poses don't change much, intended as they are to prominently display the attribute of focus, but there are some differences. A couple of women are shown in profile, that sort of thing. There are a couple of fantasy pictures (think "faerie"), but realism in both proportion and situation is the rule.

If you're looking for a story, there's none to be found. If you're looking for a wide variety of body styles, they're not here, either. Noe's the man
The Piano Tuner is another one of Ignacio Noe's work of pure (...) genius. His artistic touch and eye for detail for capturing expressions and the human anatomy in all it's glory is second to none. Sure, this is no great work of literature because the story line is virtually non-existent, but that's not the kind of entertainment these things are all about. The aim of this and his other books is white-hot sexual depictions, and as usual, Noe hits a bull's-eye. Now personally I though his Ship of Fools was better mainly because in Piano Tuner he uses a different style of coloring that leaves some of his pencil lines exposed, which I find to be a bit of a detraction. But overall this was a good sampling of Noe's work, and I look forward to his next offering.

I read The Unidentified Redhead (Redhead #1) a couple of weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it. It made me so happy when I read it, that I dreaded not having another book by Alice Clayton to look forward to. So I decided to have a little self control and wait till I need a happy-making book to read #2.
